CONFIDENCE WHEN IT ALL GOES WRONG
Believing is easy when everything is in your favor, but what about when the
chips are down? Where is your confidence when things that are beyond your
control suddenly reverse, and all men do not speak well of you! When your
confidence is in your success, a single failure will devastate you! It is a very
deceptive process that leads to your confidence being transferred from Me to
your success. Yes, you praise Me and give Me glory for all you do, but many
times your inner man and outer man slowly differ in who is really getting the
glory! Outwardly you are giving the glory to Me but inwardly you are slowly
putting your confidence in your own abilities!
Mature Christians, are those who worship Me in spirit, by the Holy Spirit,
and exult and glory and pride themselves in My power only, putting no confidence
or dependence on what they accomplish in their flesh or on outward privileges
and physical advantages and external appearances! Philippians 3:3 AMP You are
only as strong as where you place your confidence, if your inner confidence is
in your reputation as the best at what you do, My love will let you fail, to
reveal this hidden deceptive flaw, that will cause you to fall in battle! Things
are about to get really bad in the earth, and any weak area will be the thing
that the enemy targets!
Holding up the shield of faith in Me will quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked ones! Ephesians 6:16 But a shield of faith in your abilities is like one
that is made of cardboard! When My Spirit sees a misplaced confidence being
developed, a failure is needed to crush the false confidence! It's not the end
of all things, and if it feels that way, then it's confirmation that your
confidence was in your reputation, and abilities! This misplaced confidence, is
the point where inwardly you subconsciously start taking the glory for the
success. Outwardly you say you give all the glory to Me, but inwardly you are
beginning to enjoy the praise!
Failure is the kingdom safety net, for all who would become a success, in
My kingdom! Let it devastate any confidence you may have developed in your flesh
or natural abilities. Never rest in your reputation and loose sight of the fact
you are always in a war, "not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the
rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places ." Ephesians 6:12 Be thankful for the safety net of failure that keeps
your confidence always in Me!
