NEVER! NEVER! TAKE A DEFENSIVE POSITION!
When a boxer goes into a
defensive position the opponent knows he has won, because he is free to pound
away as much as he wants with little or no opposition. He will continue to pound
until the bell, the referee stops the fight or he delivers the knockout punch.
Many christians use My name in vain, not in cursing, but as a defense against
enemy attacks. When you go into a defensive position and ask the devil to stop
because you are tired of his punches, he will laugh and pound you all the
more.
As evil thoughts begin to attack your mind, using My name in a
method of asking or pleading, will invite more attacks because he sees you are
beginning to weary. You will always use My name defensively, if enemy punches
are coming because of disobedience. If you are opening the door to sinful acts,
you are inviting his attacks. You have been told, "Do not continue offering or
yielding your bodily members and faculties to sin as instruments (tools) of
wickedness. But offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised
from the dead to perpetual life, and your bodily members and faculties to God,
presenting them as implements of righteousness." Romans 6:13 (AMP)
Asking
for forgiveness, is not repenting, asking Me for forgiveness invites more
punches from the enemy because he knows you have not repented yet, and until
that happens he is free to beat you. Asking forgiveness without changing your
Mind is like "anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a
doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his own natural face in a
mirror; [24] For he thoughtfully observes himself (asks forgiveness), and then
goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. (never repenting by changing
what he saw)" James 1:23-24 (AMP) Nothing will wear you out spiritually as fast
as this! The harassing demon will call for more demons to help in the relentless
pounding, until you fully give in to the sin. Sins of lying, bitterness, envy,
stealing, exaggeration which I call socially acceptable lying, and the most
common of all, sexual sins.
Sexual sin, is most common because it is a
strong natural appetite, out of control. Continuing to live in fornication by
simply living together or having casual sex as part of a date, watching
pornography, or sensual movies and videos, visiting strip clubs, reading romance
novels, looking at girly magazines, while asking for forgiveness, day after day,
week after week, will wear you out, until depression begins to set in. Once the
joy of pleasing My Spirit is gone, you have no more strength to fight or even
ask for forgiveness. That's when the devil delivers his knockout punch and you
give in by no longer calling your sin, sin.
You then become one "Who
changes the truth of God into a lie, and worships and serves the creature more
than the Creator, who is blessed for ever." Romans 1:25 (KJV) You need to know
that, only a believer can change the truth to a lie, because the unbeliever
never had the truth to start with. He is called an unbeliever because he
rejected truth when it was presented to him. It is the ones that once "knew Me,
and did not glorify Me as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their
imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves
to be wise, they became fools," Romans 1:21-22 (KJV)
In war My name is to
be used on the offensive, because
... "the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it." Matthew 16:18 (KJV) You are to be in the attack mode, at all times.
Always handle an enemy attack with a counter attack. "Fight the good fight of
faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast
professed a good profession before many witnesses." 1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV)
You must always hit the enemy with "the whole armour of God, in order to
stand against the wiles of the devil. [12] (before entering battle you should
know you) do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places . [13] So you must, take unto you the whole
armour of God, to be able to withstand in the evil day, and when you have done
all to stand. [14] Stand therefore, with your loins girt about with truth, be
sure you are wearing the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace; [16] and above all never forget, to
take the shield of faith, and you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of
the wicked. [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God: [18] and keep on praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and
supplication for all saints;
Kingdom people are always humble, but
never whimps because they are all things they are more than conquerors through
(Me the King of Kings that loves you).." Romans 8:37 (KJV)
