THE VOICE OF A STUMBLING BLOCK

A stumbling block is made up of three parts, audio, visual and a monitor. A stumbling block is not a person, but it is the actions, attitudes or words of a person or persons. It takes three personalities to create a stumbling block. The person to be tripped up, the person doing the tripping, and a demonic voice monitoring the destructive plot.

Here is how the three parts work to form the block. Let's use a father and son relationship. Let's call the son Billy. The father professes to be one of My followers, goes to meetings regularly, always taking 8 year old Billy with him. Let's just pick out a silly habit for billy's dad, smoking for instance. Billy's dad is a smoker, and Billy hears the preacher say over and over, your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and smoking defiles it. Billy's hero is his dad, a man who can do no wrong in Billy's eyes, but the preacher is a man of God, a person that his hero dad, looks up to. A big question begins to plaque Billy. Who is right, my dad or the preacher? What dad does is always right as far as Billy is concerned because he's Billy's role model. However the preacher is a holy man and he would never lie.

Enter personality number three, the subtle voice of the lying monitor demon. He is the last ingredient needed to form a stumbling block. Demon now skillfully explains, "It's not your dad, and not even the preacher, it's that old out-dated bible, preacher uses and the God that wrote it. Did you know the bible God doesn't want anybody to have any fun. Hath God really said smoking is bad for you? Don't you see it's not the preacher, it's the bible, it old and outdated? The preacher is a good man, but that just his opinion. When they wrote the bible cigarettes weren't even invented. You can't take anything the preacher say's, really serious, look at your dad, he doesn't, and he's your role model and he's always right.

By age 12 Billy pays no attention to the preachers messages, and church seems like a waste of time. Everybody in the church says Amen to the stuff preacher reads out of that outdated book, yet over the years Billy sees them cheat, get arrested, lie, and do a lot of things the out dated bible forbids. And that annoying demon never shuts up, he is always pointing these things out. By the time Billy is 15 he has concluded the whole church thing is a joke. He concludes that he cannot trust anything the preacher, or his dad or anybody in the church says. By the time he is 16 Billy jokes about Me to his friends and those who try to warn him. I have become a laughing stock for him, and now he has convinced his friends the all of Christianity is a big joke.

At 18 he vows never to go to a church again, and his need to believe in something draws him to a faith where people are real serious about what the believe. So dedicated that they will even strap bombs on themselves and give their lives for what they believe. By the time Billy reaches 21 he is hates Me, the Cross, the bible, and all Christians and especially Jews. By now he can't stand his former hero, because he has a new role model that says, his dad, the preacher and all those amening him are infidels, worthy only of death, and just thing, it all started with a simple silly little cigarette.

"That's why My Father and I said, "whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought, it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea." Matthew 18:6 (AMP)

If you are going to continue in your bad habits and sinful ways that's your choice, but at least be up front and tell your children and the unsaved that you are not following Me. How could you possibly continue in your old ways and say you are following Me, doing what I am doing. Anyone who follows Me, does what I do, simply because they are following Me.

When you see Me light up, then you can follow Me and light up, when you see Me fornicate, then you can follow Me in fornication, when you see Me lust, you can lust, but until that happens you can't do anything, you don't see Me do, and still say, you are following Me. Is everyone getting the simple picture here? I never lie, so if you lie, until you repent, don't dare, say you are following Me. It's no wonder the western church is considered a joke. They tell the world they are following a holy God that commits every sin in the book.

If Billy's dad had explained to him, that, preacher was right, the bible is right, and God is absolutely right, but daddy is being stupid and choosing to disobey and not follow Jesus, do not follow Me because I am choosing to go down a wrong path and will pay for it in the long run. This way Billy at least would have had a choice. This would have been honorable and no millstone would be ordered. No one treads water with a 50 ton stone around their neck.
