YOUR NEED FOR TRANSFORMATION

YOUR NEED FOR TRANSFORMATION

The old nature is so embedded in the soul of man that the born again experience changes only the persons position but not his character. The process of nature changing is much slower. Your sin nature still exists because you are still in a physical body that is will only be transformed when you exchange it for your eternal body. "For this perishable part of us must put on the imperishable nature, and this mortal part of us, this nature that is capable of dying must put on immortality (freedom from death). [54] And when this perishable puts on the imperishable and this that was capable of dying puts on freedom from death, then shall be fulfilled the Scripture that says, Death is swallowed up (utterly vanquished forever) in and unto victory." 1 Corinthians 15:53-54 (AMP)

Once salvation takes place, the work of transformation begins. There is no work in salvation but there is a lot of work in transformation. ... "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. [13] For it is (Me) working in you both to will and to do of (My) good pleasure." Philippians 2:12-13 (KJV) There will be times that the physical body will fight back so hard that you will be in mental anguish.
Look how Paul felt,  "I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. [24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?" Romans 7:23-24 (KJV)

Here is the work part, Paul said, ... "I always exercise and discipline myself mortifying my body, deadening my carnal affections, bodily appetites, and worldly desires, endeavoring in all respects to have a clear (unshaken, blameless) conscience, void of offense toward God and toward men." Acts 24:16 (AMP) This is where east and west separate in their persecution. The persecution of luxury in the west never stops 24/7. The body demanding what ever feels good and the abundance of things easily available to satisfy it. The amount of times the western and eastern christian must say, "NO" to the body, is a hundred to one. Luxuries are almost non-existent in the east. Physical abuse is abundant, but luxuries are not known.

You are not alone in your inner war, remember  [13] "it is (Me) working in you both to will and to do of (My) good pleasure." Philippians 2:13 (KJV) Do not be discouraged.
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world. I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you." John 16:33 (AMP)

Just remember, this important fact" ... "no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), no matter how it comes or where it leads has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear. But God is faithful to His Word and to His compassionate nature, and He can be trusted not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will always also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently." 1 Corinthians 10:13 (AMP)

Here is your part, JUST SAY NO!!! And run to Me, "Shun youthful lusts and flee from them, and aim at and pursue righteousness (all that is virtuous and good, right living, conformity to the will of God in thought, word, and deed); and aim at and pursue faith, love, and peace (harmony and concord with others) in fellowship with all Christians, who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22 (AMP) Always remember to "be subject to (Me). Resist the devil stand firm against him, and he will flee from you." James 4:7 (AMP)
