LET ME TALK ABOUT LUST TYPE ONE This is a word that is out of balance on the sexual side because the world has narrowed it to only mean, a strong sexual desire. I break down lust into three parts;  "For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh craving for sensual gratification and the lust of the eyes greedy longings of the mind and the pride of life assurance in one''s own resources or in the stability of earthly things--these do not come from the Father but are from the world itself." 1 John 2:16 (AMP)  The world counts on fleshly lust in the advertising industry and the financial world. They show as much flesh as legally passible to call attention to their product. This lust is only, the first of three. The lust of the flesh. This is not new, the oldest industry in the world, is the selling of sex. This is a sin that is a two edged sword.  "Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 Who ever commits this sin pays twice, they loose eternity and the suffer the pain of guilt and disease. Many shepherds shun this subject because they have a problem with this type of lust. If you, not knowing a situation, prefer to counseling a beautiful woman over an old man then you have a lust problem. Stay away from anything that excites the passions and this lust will disappear in a short time. This also includes staying away in your thinking, do not fantasize, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind," 1 Corinthians 6:9 None of My children can view pornography and stay saved.  You can rebuke, cast out, make all the resolutions you want and you will not overcome this type of lust. If this is your battle here's how you are guaranteed to overcome. FLEE, FLEE, FLEE, don't even play with temptation. "Shun immorality and all sexual looseness flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 (AMP)    "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." 2 Timothy 2:22  Now to the women, looking pretty is one thing, looking sexy is completely another. Causing a man to lust after you for any reason is sin, it is impure and to allure someone toward lust, will not be tolerated in the kingdom. "Also I desire that women should adorn themselves modestly and appropriately and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with elaborate hair arrangement or gold or pearls or expensive clothing, [10] But by doing good deeds (deeds in themselves good and for the good and advantage of those contacted by them), as befits women who profess reverential fear for and devotion to God." 1 Timothy 2:9-10 (AMP)   When I change your heart, you should change your wardrobe. "Therefore if any person is ingrafted in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMP) Here is how fleshly lust brings a man and woman to destruction.  "MY SON, keep my words; lay up within you my commandments for use when needed and treasure them. [2] Keep my commandments and live, and keep my law and teaching as the apple (the pupil) of your eye. [3] Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. [4] Say to skillful and godly Wisdom, You are my sister, and regard understanding or insight as your intimate friend-- [5] That they may keep you from the loose woman, from the adventuress who flatters with and makes smooth her words. [6] For at the window of my house I looked out through my lattice. [7] And among the simple (empty-headed and emptyhearted) ones, I perceived among the youths a young man void of good sense, [8] Sauntering through the street near the loose woman''s corner; and he went the way to her house [9] In the twilight, in the evening; night black and dense was falling over the young man''s life. [10] And behold, there met him a woman, dressed as a harlot and sly and cunning of heart. [11] She is turbulent and willful; her feet stay not in her house; [12] Now in the streets, now in the marketplaces, she sets her ambush at every corner. [13] So she caught him and kissed him and with impudent face she said to him, [14] Sacrifices of peace offerings were due from me; this day I paid my vows. [15] So I came forth to meet you that you might share with me the feast from my offering; diligently I sought your face, and I have found you. [16] I have spread my couch with rugs and cushions of tapestry, with striped sheets of fine linen of Egypt. [17] I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. [18] Come, let us take our fill of love until morning; let us console and delight ourselves with love. [19] For the man is not at home; he is gone on a long journey; [20] He has taken a bag of money with him and will come home at the day appointed at the full moon. [21] With much justifying and enticing argument she persuades him, with the allurements of her lips she leads him to overcome his conscience and his fears and forces him along. [22] Suddenly he yields and follows her reluctantly like an ox moving to the slaughter, like one in fetters going to the correction to be given to a fool or like a dog enticed by food to the muzzle [23] Till a dart of passion pierces and inflames his vitals; then like a bird fluttering straight into the net he hastens, not knowing that it will cost him his life. [24] Listen to me now therefore, O you sons, and be attentive to the words of my mouth. [25] Let not your heart incline toward her ways, do not stray into her paths. [26] For she has cast down many wounded; indeed, all her slain are a mighty host. [27] Her house is the way to Sheol (Hades, the place of the dead), going down to the chambers of death." Proverbs 7:1-27 (AMP) JUST KEEP FLEEING on the computer, TV, flee suggestive men and women, billboards, magazines, newspapers, and flee fantasy thoughts, just run to My purity and you will have no problem with lust number one. "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8  Now lust number two is more difficult and I will deal with that when we talk tomorrow.
